These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website, showroom purchases, online purchases, custom manufacturing services, interior design services, and all transactions between Amet Furnishings ("Amet", "we", "our", or "us") and our customers ("you" or "your").

By accessing our website, placing an order, paying a deposit, or purchasing any product or service from Amet Furnishings, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

3. Product Information

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, specifications, colours, finishes, and pricing are accurate.

However:

• Colours may vary depending on device screens.

• Fabric dye lots may differ between production batches.

• Timber grain, veneer patterns, leather markings, and handcrafted finishes may vary naturally.

• Product images are for illustration purposes only.

These natural variations are not considered defects.

4. Pricing

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).

Prices may change without notice prior to order confirmation.

Quotations remain valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

Any pricing errors may be corrected at our discretion before acceptance of an order.

5. Made-to-Order Products

Many Amet Furnishings products are manufactured specifically to customer requirements.

Made-to-order products include, but are not limited to:

• Sofas

• Chairs

• Beds

• Headboards

• Ottomans

• Benches

• Dining Chairs

• Selected Tables and Casegoods

Production commences only once the required deposit has been received and cleared.

Once production has commenced:

• Orders may not be cancelled.

• Specifications may not be changed.

• Deposits are non-refundable.

• Products may not be returned unless defective.

Lead times are estimates and may vary due to material availability, supplier delays, logistics constraints, or circumstances beyond our control.

6. Deposits and Payments

A deposit may be required before production commences.

Full payment must be received prior to delivery or collection unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Ownership of goods remains with Amet Furnishings until payment has been received in full.

7. Delivery

Amet Furnishings delivers throughout South Africa and, by arrangement, to neighbouring countries and international destinations.

Delivery charges are calculated according to location, accessibility, and order size.

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

• Adequate access to the property.

• Furniture can fit through doorways, passages, lifts, and staircases.

• Existing furniture and obstacles have been removed.

Furniture will not be hoisted through windows, balconies, roofs, or over walls.

Amet Furnishings reserves the right to refuse delivery where access is unsafe or impractical.

8. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers must inspect products upon delivery.

Any visible damage or shortages must be recorded on the delivery note and reported immediately.

Once delivery documentation has been signed without comment, the goods shall be deemed to have been received in acceptable condition.

9. Storage

Where a completed order cannot be delivered due to customer-related delays, storage fees may apply.

Storage fees will be charged at 10% of the sales order value per month or part thereof.

Should delivery not be possible within 90 days of completion, Amet Furnishings reserves the right to cancel the order and deduct applicable storage, administration, and delivery charges.

10. Returns and Refunds

Made-to-order products are not eligible for return or refund except where required by law.

Stocked products may be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to:

• Proof of purchase.

• Product being unused.

• Product being in original condition.

Delivery charges are non-refundable.

A handling fee may apply.

11. Upholstery Warranty

Amet Furnishings warrants:

• Internal Sofa Frames: 5 Years

• Springs and Webbing: 2 Years against manufacturing defects

• Foam and Fibre Fillings: 1 Year against manufacturing defects

• Stitching and Workmanship: 1 Year

Normal wear and tear is excluded.

12. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear

• Misuse or abuse

• Commercial use

• Pet damage

• Water damage

• Direct sunlight damage

• Coastal corrosion

• Incorrect cleaning

• Ink, paint, dyes, chemicals, solvents or body fluids

• Sleeping, standing or jumping on furniture not designed for such use

13. Interior Design Services

Interior design consultations, design concepts, drawings, specifications, mood boards, and related intellectual property remain the property of Amet Furnishings until paid for in full.

Consultation fees are non-refundable once services have commenced.

Project timelines are estimates and may vary depending on project scope and supplier lead times.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amet Furnishings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic loss arising from the use of our products or services.

Our liability shall be limited to the value of the goods purchased.

15. Intellectual Property

All website content, product designs, photographs, catalogues, drawings, renderings, logos, and marketing material remain the intellectual property of Amet Furnishings and may not be reproduced without written permission.

16. Privacy

Customer information will only be used for the purpose of fulfilling orders, providing services, and communicating with customers.

We will not sell customer information to third parties.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

18. Amendments

Amet Furnishings reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
