Delivery Policy
Amet Furnishings delivers throughout South Africa and, by arrangement, to neighbouring countries and selected international destinations.
Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are calculated according to:
· Delivery location
· Product size and volume
· Accessibility requirements
· Special handling requirements
Delivery charges will be confirmed before delivery is scheduled.
Delivery Timeframes
Delivery dates provided by Amet Furnishings are estimates only.
While every reasonable effort will be made to meet estimated delivery dates, delays may occur due to:
· Material availability
· Manufacturing lead times
· Supplier delays
· Weather conditions
· Transport and logistics disruptions
Delivery and Installation
Our delivery team will:
· Deliver furniture to the specified address.
· Place furniture in the designated room where access permits.
· Assemble products requiring standard assembly at no additional charge.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring:
· Adequate access to the delivery location.
· Furniture can fit through all access points.
· Existing furniture, fragile items, and obstructions have been removed.
· A responsible adult is available to accept delivery.
Access Restrictions
Furniture will not be hoisted through windows, balconies, rooftops, or over walls.
Where delivery cannot be completed due to access limitations, additional delivery charges may apply.
Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers must inspect all products upon delivery.
Any visible damage must be recorded on the delivery note and reported immediately.
Once the delivery note has been signed without comment, the goods shall be deemed to have been received in acceptable condition.
Storage Charges
Where completed orders cannot be delivered due to customer-related delays, storage fees of 10% of the order value per month or part thereof may apply.
Orders not accepted within 90 days of completion may be cancelled at Amet Furnishings' discretion, subject to storage and administrative charges.
